Sewell published the iconic large format "Main Magazine" in the late 80's in Venice California. Devoted to art, architecture, photography, style, and culture, Main documented the excitement and vibe of Venice and Los Angeles. It featured contributions from the likes of Frank Gehry, David Hockney, Stephen Ehrlich, Ted Tanaka, Don Bachardy, and John Van Hamersveld.

 

Starting March 1986, Sewell Archive published Main Magazine from Venice, California. The magazine was wildly popular among the art, architecture, and photography circles at the time. 12 issues were published.
